Founder and Chairman Randolph Lin initially recognized the rising global trend of energy storage and power batteries, particularly in Mainland China. In contrast, Taiwan at the time was still focused on small battery modules for mobile devices, with a lack of investment in the high-voltage, high-current market. This insight led to the founding of SEETEL New Energy in 2017, with a dedicated focus on the development and services of the energy storage sector.
In 2018, SEETEL completed its first large-scale energy storage system design. As a demonstration project, the design was based on 700V DC platform and integrated four battery configurations encompassing two electrochemical types of lithium iron phosphate and ternary lithium, as well as three battery forms of prismatic, cylindrical and pouch cells. From system architecture to execution, the project reflected SEETEL’s extensive experience and innovative capabilities in diverse battery applications.
In 2021, the Company earned recognition from the Ministry of Economic Affairs for its project focused on distributed microgrids. This R&D initiative of utilizing 750V DC platform and interconnected distributed energy storage systems has planted the seeds for future development in storage system aggregation control, behind-the-meter power regulation and battery string balancing technologies. In the same year, SEETEL undertook the development of battery modules, Battery Management System (BMS) and charging device for military-grade AGVs. The project was completed and delivered within three months, demonstrating SEETEL’s integration capability across charging, discharging, energy storage and power system coordination.
As of 2025, SEETEL is a leader in the energy storage industry, listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 7740). The company drives sustainability through four core strengths: advanced battery manufacturing, intelligent Energy Management Systems (EMS), EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services, and comprehensive maintenance solutions.
Innovation defines SEETEL. Holding multiple patents in control and safety technologies, the company became the first in Taiwan to earn the VPC certificate for energy storage sites, meeting the stringent standards of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology, and Inspection. By Q2 2025, SEETEL’s EPC contracted installation capacity reached 225 MW, with battery shipments totaling 1,167 MWh, leading the market in volume. Through smart energy storage solutions, automated low-carbon processes, and AI-driven big data analytics, SEETEL is transforming the industry and advancing global sustainability.

With over 20 years of battery manufacturing experience, the founder leads the team in creating technical value, promoting diversified energy applications, deepening AI and automation technologies, and advancing core technologies that lead the energy storage industry. SEETEL also supports local containerized production and aspires to be a key driver in global sustainable energy.
